1. Kevin Durant, lead Warriors to NBA title – Durant capped his spectacular first season with the Warriors by bringing home that coveted NBA championship he joined Golden State last July so determined to get, scoring 39 points in a fast-and-furious, Finals-clinching 129-120 victory over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 on Monday night.

This week in the NBA was a crazy one, featuring big games and even bigger performances. Monday has the Cavaliers beating the Wizards in Washington, in overtime. Saturday featured Kevin Durant’s much anticipated return to Oklahoma City, where the Warriors crushed the Thunder. During the week several players had memorable weeks, stringing together 3 to 4 impressive performances. Players on this list include the usual suspects like Lebron James and James Harden, but also features a couple of rising stars and underrated players. Here is the top seven players of the week in the NBA in order.

Hi everyone and welcome to the NBA Power 7 Weekly for 2017. I hope you all enjoyed a nice Holiday Season with your friends and family. It’s been said that the NBA season doesn’t really start until Christmas. Now that we are officially into 2017 everyone will be turning up the heat as we approach the trade deadline and all-star weekend. Let’s get into the Power 7 for this week.

With the NBA season heating up as we approach a new year. There are new and exciting storylines all over the place. Rather its Kevin Durant transition to the Warriors as they try to revenge their finals lost to the Cavs or Russel Westbrooks emergences as the top MVP candidate. Also with burgeoning star second year players Kristaps Porzingis and Karl-Anthony Towns. The rest of this NBA season will surely be exciting to watch as it plays out. With the 2015 NBA Draft boasted as one of the better classes in recent history. Almost all the first-round picks and a few second-rounders had significant roles during their rookie seasons.  Some had amazing rookie campaigns, but who are the second-year players that are continuing their greatness this season?
