1. Durant returns to the Warriors – Kevin Durant made his return to action Saturday night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Kevin Durant had his moments of feeling down, unable to play the sport he loves while watching his teammates initially struggle then, later, shine without him.

Kevin Wayne Durant has made the decision to pack his bags in Oklahoma to head west and pan for gold with the Warriors. Just as many did in 1849, he’s hopping on the bandwagon to go to Northern California in hopes of striking it rich and winning an NBA championship. He leaves behind the franchise that drafted him and the only team he’s played for in the first nine years of his career. Now, after taking some time to evaluate his options, he begins the “Next Chapter” of his time in the NBA with a new team but a not-so-fresh start.

The Los Angeles Clippers have historically been one of basketball’s bottom tier teams. From their inception in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, to their days in San Diego where they received their current name, coming from the sailboats that populated the city’s waters, to now as residents in the City of Angels, they haven’t found the success in 46 years that other teams achieve almost every year. They have been through their growing pains and it has been looking up for the team recently, making the playoffs each of the last 5 years and finally generating widespread support and excitement. Their window for a championship is in front of them, but it may be closing just as quickly as it opened.
