The Oregon Ducks defeated the Kansas Jayhawks, 74-60, on Saturday night at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. For Oregon, it’s been a long time coming.

This week in the NBA was a crazy one, featuring big games and even bigger performances. Monday has the Cavaliers beating the Wizards in Washington, in overtime. Saturday featured Kevin Durant’s much anticipated return to Oklahoma City, where the Warriors crushed the Thunder. During the week several players had memorable weeks, stringing together 3 to 4 impressive performances. Players on this list include the usual suspects like Lebron James and James Harden, but also features a couple of rising stars and underrated players. Here is the top seven players of the week in the NBA in order.

Bracket 68 – Week of January 28, 2017

Three teams in the Top 4 lost on Tuesday night shaking up the top 4 seeds once again for Bracket 68. #1 Villanova, #2 Kansas, & #4 Kentucky all lost on the road which will drop Villanova and Kansas out of a number one seed. The one constant comes from the best team in the west, 20-0 Gonzaga, remains the only undefeated team remaining. We’ll also look at the 2 teams to get hot, 4 higher seeds to lose early, and well look at the Mid Major of the week that involves a 50 point performance.

Weekly NBA Rookie Watch – January 20, 2017

The season is at the halfway point and its clear to see which rookies have been able to translate their game in the NBA. It will be interesting to see how Ben Simmons is able to contribute to the team when he finally gets a chance to step on the court. As the 1st overall pick there is typically a lot of pressure to preform but thanks to Joel Embiid, Simmons can just go out there and play without that pressure. That should make for a great second half.
